Build it on the Rock Foundation

We all know the bible verse about the house that was built of straw being washed away by the river. Well....you know that house was real easy to build, right. Now take the house built on a rock foundation-you know...the one that took a great deal of effort, sacrifice, and planning.

We can look at our relationships that way. Are we taking the easy way, focusing strictly on fun and pleasure? Think of relationship issues as that raging river. Will you look down from your straw house in fear and abandon it? Will you look down in confidence because of your house's stability on that rock foundation?

By the way, no one person can build that rock foundation. It takes two committed workers who have counted the cost of the project. Also, it's fun to see such a beautiful house built by the river!
