When the Boat Starts a Rockin

Picture yourself in a boat being rowed along. You look to see a shark bumping into the boat causing it to rock. You immediately leap up and start flayling your arms in a panic. Where do you think you will wind up?

That shark is "life's adversity". When you calmly approach fearfull situations, it is as if you are sitting still in that boa,t arms braced against the sides.
