The Pace on the Path
We are all on our path of increasing awareness of our place in life, who we are and where we are going. Some of us can see that clearly, and others it is obscured. For some of us the pace we move on that path is fast, and others it is slow or even frozen.
When two people join hands on that path, it is critical for them to know where they are on that path and what pace each one is comfortable with. If they do not do this there can be consequences.
If one person has a clear vision of where they want to go and they want to move quickly, and their partner has an obscured vision and is frozen at a spot the following will occur:
The person will squeeze their partners hand pulling them along, causing discomfort and pain. No one can force a vision and pace on another.
Sadly, the final result is that the person has to let go and move forward on their path alone. Even more tragically, to remain true to their path, they cannot even look back.
