After It's Over - Pull the Weeds?
When there is an end to a relationship one of the parts of recovery is to "pull the weeds".
It is the "what role did i play?", It is the "why?".
In the past i have gotten down on my knees and pulled them feverishly so i could get back to life quickly. The problem with that is you pull up the flowers and trash them. You also dont get all the roots of the weeds and they grow back.
A different method is to create a new garden. Its time consuming.
First you carefully pull up the flowers and rest them on the side- they wont be going back in your new garden but they will be memories down the road. (forgiveness)
Next dig up ALL the dirt and weeds together and throw them out. This is truly exploring where all the issues came from and what to do not to repeat them.
Finally, go get a new landscape plan and new soil. This is worth the time and work. Wait till you can vision the new flowers before you go buy them.
Now you have the new garden free from weeds.
